Dive into underwater action as the reef ranger, who collects tropical fish for a living but is now encountering new troubles:  the predators are attacking!  The nurse sharks, barracuda, moray eels, stingrays and lionfish that he usually enjoys seeing have become aggressive as he tries to catch his parrotfish, blue tang, sergeant majors and many other colorful fish.

Each level starts with four short video clips of the creatures you will encounter in the level from my actual snorkeling experiences in the Florida Keys.  All the sprites of the sea creatures are also extracted from the videos.  You can see a video with all of them at:  25 Shoreline Sea Creatures of the Florida Keys

Use your net and speargun to catch the prized tropical fish and deal with the predators that become increasingly aggressive.

What is stirring them up and what must be done to stop it?  Search for the strange marine glyphs, images of sea creatures that offer clues to the mystery.

Use them to solve the encrypted  message from the deep and to learn how to engage in the treacherous duel with a nefarious sorcerer lurking beneath the coral heads.

Assess your progress after finishing with each reef and its fascinating creatures and gain access to the two types of glyphs you have collected.

Fight an epic duel with a mighty sorcerer from the darkest depths to put an end to the deadly chaos and restore order.

So get out your net and speargun and dive in!

Install instructions

I have to address an important issue here.  This file is NOT a virus or malware; it is a Python program converted into a self-contained executable file by a program called nuitka.   If you Google something like "Python program converted to exe as virus", you will see that false positives is a common issue.  When I first created it, Norton considered it suspicious, examined it and declared it SAFE.  Then when I downloaded it from itch.io to test the whole experience, Windows Defender flagged it as potentially dangerous.  I clicked "more info", Run Anyway, and it is fine.  You can right-click the file and have Norton do a scan on it to see that it is good.

The only things dangerous in this file are the sharks, barracuda and other predators that keep attacking for some strange reason, not any virus.

As stated earlier, the file is a completely self-contained executable file.  Simply place it wherever you want in your file system and double click it.  It will unbundle the resource files into a temporary subdirectory.  You can delete the TempDir directory with all the sounds and graphics between plays, if it remains on your disk.
